The 2023 Ben Rye Donnafugata is a Passito di Pantelleria DOC, a sweet wine made from dried Zibibbo (Muscat of Alexandria) grapes grown on the volcanic island of Pantelleria. This half-bottle provides a concentrated example of this classic Sicilian dessert wine. It is intensely aromatic and rich, with notes of dried apricot, honey, date and candied orange peel, balanced by a vibrant streak of acidity that prevents the wine from becoming overly cloying.
