Valdicava is a wine producer situated in the picturesque Valdicava valley in Montosoli, northern Montalcino. The estate is dedicated to the cultivation of Sangiovese grapes and typically produces two main wine expressions annually. a Rosso di Montalcino and a Brunello di Montalcino. In the finest vintages, they craft a special single-vineyard wine known as Madonna Del Piano. The grapes for this particular release are sourced from the estate`s oldest vines, dating back to 1970. The 2001 Brunello di Montalcino Madonna Del Piano received a perfect 100-point score from Wine Spectator.
