Domaine Armand Rousseau is one of Burgundy`s oldest and most revered family-run wine estates. They own many grand cru plots in Gevrey-Chambertin as well as part of the much sought-after premier cru vineyard Clos Saint-Jacques. This 1989 vintage is beautifully evolved. The nose is quite firm, with spicy and earthy notes, also slightly savoury. The palate has rich and complex structure, with plenty of minerality, as well as some phenolic notes. An epic wine.
