Bouchard Père et Fils holds one of the largest single parcels of Chambertin Clos de Bèze, and this 2005 bottling comes from a vintage widely regarded as among Burgundy`s finest of the last thirty years. Expect a still-vivid ruby colour, aromas of black cherry, violet and spice, and a powerful yet refined palate with firm, well-integrated tannins. Drinking beautifully now but capable of further development, it pairs naturally with roast venison, duck or mature Burgundian cheese.
