Established in 1731, Bouchard Père & Fils manages this esteemed site, characterised by its east-facing slope and limestone-rich soils that favour Pinot Noir. The wine underwent 18 months of maturation in 100% new French oak barrels, contributing to its structure. Aromas of black cherry and raspberry emerge, complemented by hints of toasted spice. The 2012 vintage displays significant depth, with a robust mouthfeel sharpened by its natural acidity, leading to nuanced layers of liquorice and earthy undertones as it evolves.
