Chambertin Clos de Beze Jadot 2001
Price
£280.46
The founding of the Maison Louis Jadot dates back to 1859 when Louis Henry Denis Jadot set up as a merchant. Today, Jadot is one of the most consistent growers and négociants in Burgundy, with a vast portfolio of wines – from easy-drinking, accessible village wines to complex, age-worthy Grand Crus, such as this Chambertin-Clos de Bèze. The wine is typically fermented in vats for 3 to 4 weeks and the ageing process takes place in oak barrels for up to 18 months. The 2001 is in a perfect drinking window now, a mature and ripe Pinot Noir boasting well-integrated tannins.
