£160.98
DESCRIPTION
In celebration of the holiday season, snow-capped mountains embellish the packaging of the House's creations.
N°5 Eau de Parfum is the very essence of femininity. An iconic fragrance with an ambery, abstract floral bouquet, presented in a limited-edition white and golden sleeve.
COMPOSITION
The eau de parfum draws inspiration from the abstract floral bouquet of N°5 Extrait. This floral bouquet, composed around rose, jasmine and ylang-ylang and elevated by aldehydes, is sustained by ambery vanilla notes, which give it an infinitely sensual trail.
INSPIRATION
In 1921, Gabrielle Chanel called upon Ernest Beaux to create a "woman's perfume with a woman's scent", an avant-garde fragrance. The Perfumer-Creator presented her with a visionary composition that made unprecedented use of aldehydes. Mademoiselle Chanel chose the fifth sample she was shown and decided to simply name it N°5. For this new fragrance, she opted for a bottle with a revolutionary design, adorned with a white label and topped with a faceted stopper.
In 1986, Jacques Polge, the Perfumer-Creator for CHANEL at the time, reinterpreted his predecessor's composition to create a more ambery version of N°5: the eau de parfum.
ART OF PERFUMING
Spray N°5 Eau de Parfum on the skin or inside clothing in a broad motion. The fragrance can be worn around the neck like a string of pearls: a spritz on the left, then on the right, ending on the nape of the neck, under the hair. A complete scented bath and body ritual is also available to accentuate the trail of the fragrance.
