DESCRIPTION

In celebration of the holiday season, the N°5 Eau de Parfum Purse Spray has been adorned with a new accessory that complements its golden trim. It features a jewellery chain that allows it to be worn around the wrist and is embellished with charms shaped like the iconic bottle and the House's signature. A limited-edition collector's item that can be made your own, again and again.

This purse spray is presented in a white woven pouch that bears the CHANEL name embroidered in golden thread. It is paired with three refills.

COMPOSITION

The eau de parfum draws inspiration from the abstract floral bouquet of N°5 Extrait. This floral bouquet, composed around rose, jasmine and ylang-ylang and elevated by aldehydes, is sustained by a vanilla note, which gives it an infinitely sensual trail.

INSPIRATION

In 1921, Gabrielle Chanel called upon Ernest Beaux to create a "woman's perfume with a woman's scent", an avant-garde fragrance. The Perfumer-Creator presented her with a visionary composition that made unprecedented use of aldehydes. Mademoiselle Chanel chose the fifth sample she was shown and decided to simply name it N°5. For this new fragrance, she opted for a bottle with a revolutionary design, adorned with a white label and topped with a faceted stopper.
In 1986, Jacques Polge, the Perfumer-Creator for CHANEL at the time, reinterpreted his predecessor's composition to create a more ambery version of N°5: the eau de parfum.

ART OF PERFUMING

Spray N°5 Eau de Parfum on the skin or inside clothing in a broad motion. The fragrance can be worn around the neck like a string of pearls: a spritz on the left, then on the right, ending on the nape of the neck, under the hair.
