Chichibu Peated Barrel for Hanshin Department Store Cask 7081 (Bottled 2024) is a limited-edition single malt whisky produced at the Chichibu Distillery in Japan. in Saitama, Japan. The renowned master distiller Ichiro Akuto launched the Chichibu distillery in 2008 – making it Japan’s first new distillery since Suntory opened Hakushu back in 1973. Produced using Propino barley and matured in a single ex-peated barrel, this limited-release bottling was distilled in 2016 and bottled in 2024 at a natural cask strength of 63%.
