Domaine Georges Mugneret Gevrey-Chambertin 2005 is a Pinot Noir from the northern Côte de Nuits, produced during the period when the estate was transitioning to the Mugneret-Gibourg label. The 2005 vintage is regarded as one of the greatest of the century, offering a combination of power, fruit purity and structural balance. This village-level bottling reflects the estate`s focus on elegance and aromatic lift, despite the naturally concentrated nature of the year. It displays a nose of dark cherry, rose petals and subtle earthy spice. The palate is medium-bodied and refined, with the firm tannins of 2005 now fully integrated into a silky texture.
