From the 1996 vintage at Glenfarclas, this 26-year-old single cask (Cask 852) has spent over a quarter century in a refill Sherry butt. A slightly different character from the 1990 vintage casks — the 1990s production at Glenfarclas was a golden era, and 1996 offers a refined, approachable richness. Dried cherry, orange peel, marzipan, old oak and warming spice. Another exceptional example of what patient sherry cask maturation achieves at this family distillery.
