The Hagi Peach Guinomi Sake Cup exemplifies Hagi ware (Hagi-yaki), a traditional Japanese pottery from Hagi in Yamaguchi prefecture. This cup features a muted peachy-pink hue, influenced by the local clay, which varies in colour from reddish to orange. Each handcrafted piece showcases subtle imperfections, a hallmark of wabi sabi-inspired pottery. Hagi ware is particularly notable for its slightly porous nature, allowing for gradual absorption of sake, enhancing the drinking experience over time.
