A blend of 57% Merlot, 41% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Cabernet Franc, the 2006 vintage of Haut Brion is a powerul, concentrated Pessac-Leognan with ripe forest fruit and a beguiling thread of earth spice running from nose to finish. Tannins are present, but well integrated and the finish is soft and fruit forward. Decant for two hours before serving.
