Situated just south of Saint-Émilion town, Château La Gaffelière is one of the oldest family-owned vineyards in the region. The estate boasts 22 hectares, of which roughly 70% is planted to Merlot and 30% to Cabernet Franc. The 1982 vintage in Bordeaux is widely regarded as one of the most exceptional and legendary vintages in the region`s history. It is often referred to as a ‘vintage of the century’ due to the exceptional quality of the wines produced.
