Château Latour`s 1970 comes from a large, well-regarded vintage that has aged gracefully over more than five decades. Now deep ruby with an amber rim, it offers a mature bouquet of plum, truffle, tobacco and walnut. On the palate, blackcurrant, cedar and cigar-box notes unfold over fine, still-present tannins and fresh acidity, finishing long and savoury. Fully mature and ready to drink, it remains a benchmark for classic, cellar-aged Pauillac. Decant for two hours and serve with roast beef.
