A particular success in the warm 2017 vintage, this single-vineyard Pinot Noir sits atop a windswept hill above the fog line in Anderson Valley, planted on sandstone that stresses the vines and concentrates flavour. Expect a pale ruby colour and a perfumed nose of strawberry, wild berry, cedar, light leather and dried flowers. The palate is fine-boned yet structured, with bright acidity and a savoury, earthy edge rather than jammy fruit. 2017 was a strong Californian vintage. Drink now to 2028, with duck, mushroom dishes or salmon.
