Part of Macallan`s Fine Oak range, later renamed Triple Cask Matured, this 30 year old is created by combining whisky matured in American oak ex-bourbon casks with both American and European oak sherry-seasoned casks, giving a lighter, more refined style than Macallan`s classic sherry-oak expressions. Expect a pale gold colour with a rich, exotic and aromatic nose of orange, moving to an intense palate of macadamia nut, vanilla, sandalwood and black cherry, finishing soft, silky and elegant. A sophisticated choice for those who prefer subtlety over sherried richness.
