Montrose (Ex Château) 2009 is a Bordeaux blend from the Saint-Estèphe appellation. This Second Growth estate sits on a plateau of deep gravel, which provides the excellent drainage necessary for the Cabernet Sauvignon to achieve optimal ripening. The 2009 vintage offered conditions for profound concentration, resulting in a wine of immense power and structural depth. It shows tertiary notes of cedar, tobacco, leather and blackcurrant, with tannins that have integrated into a seamless, velvety texture that remains a benchmark for the estate.
