Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Clos de Thorey Domaine de la Vougeraie 2023 is a monopole Pinot Noir from a 3-hectare site situated on the Vosne-Romanée side of Nuits-Saint-Georges. The 2023 vintage in Burgundy is regarded as being of exceptional quality vintage due to a generous and healthy crop that achieved full ripeness under balanced summer conditions. The wine was vinified using a significant proportion of whole clusters and aged in French oak with a moderated percentage of new wood to respect the delicate floral aromatics of the vintage. On the palate, the 2023 displays a sophisticated tension between crunchy red fruit, velvet tannins and a persistent mineral finish that reflects the biodynamic viticulture employed by the estate.
