Domaine Sylvain Cathiard is a family-owned wine producer based in Vosne-Romanée. Since 2011, the responsibility has been assumed entirely by Sébastien Cathiard, who oversees their expanse of five hectares of vineyards spanning across Vosne-Romanée, Nuit-Saint-Georges, and Chambolle-Musigny. This village-level Nuit-Saint-Georges comes from vines planted back in 1935. While the cultivation practices are organic, they are not yet certified. The grapes undergo full destemming, followed by an 18-month maturation period in oak barrels. Overall, Cathiard`s 2021 wines exude a captivating sense of balance and restraint. The wines exhibit remarkable fruit clarity and impeccably smooth textures.
