Quilceda Creek’s 1998 vintage emerges from one of eastern Washington’s hottest years, which influenced the development of ultra-ripe fruit. This Cabernet Sauvignon, predominantly sourced from Champoux and Tapteil vineyards, showcases a careful selection process where 30% of the vintage was declassified to prioritise quality. Comprising 97% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Cabernet Franc, the wine spent 22 months in new French oak barrels. Over time, it has developed a complex profile, revealing earthy notes alongside rich fruit characteristics, mirroring both Washington State’s terroir and sophisticated Bordeaux styles.
