Quinta do Noval Nacional Vintage 1982 is an ultra-rare vintage Port from a specific parcel of ungrafted vines at the heart of the Quinta do Noval estate. Unlike almost all other Douro vineyards, Nacional vines are planted on their own roots, which produces a wine of unique concentration and longevity. The 1982 vintage was characterised by a hot summer, yielding a Port with immense structural depth and a complex profile of dark fruits and spice. It is matured in wooden vats for two years before bottling, resulting in a spirit that evolves with remarkable slowness.
