Thomas H Handy 2022 Release is a straight rye whiskey released as part of the Buffalo Trace Distillery Antique Collection. Named after the New Orleans bartender who first used rye whiskey in the now-famous Sazerac cocktail, the 2022 Release was matured in casks for six years before being bottled at 65.5% ABV - making it the highest proof for this whiskey since 2012. Aromas of anise, marmalade and dried flowers are followed by notes of baking spices, orange peel, dark chocolate and cinnamon.
