Leica has moved its London flagship to a four-storey townhouse at 14 Dover Street, taking the number of stores the camera maker owns worldwide to 116.

The new Leica Store London Mayfair replaces the brand's previous shop on Duke Street. It carries the full range, from cameras and sport optics to watches, home cinema, mobile and a pre-owned and vintage section.

A Leica Gallery on the lower ground floor will host changing exhibitions by well-known photographers. An atrium rises from the gallery level to the first floor, bringing in daylight, and holds an art installation made for the space. Curved fixtures and furniture echo the company's headquarters at Leitz Park in Wetzlar, Germany.

To mark the opening, Leica is releasing 14 special-edition M-A film cameras created with the British artist King Nerd, engraved with the floral emblems of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. They go on sale on 5 November at £15,800, paired with a matching Summicron-M 35mm lens.

The store is open Monday to Saturday, 10am to 6pm.
