Glenfarclas is one of Speyside`s few remaining family-owned distilleries, celebrated for its sherry-led house style and traditional direct-fired stills. This 21 year old is matured largely in sherry casks with no added colouring, giving a deep amber colour and rich, sherried character. Expect an intense nose of dried and tropical fruit, nutmeg and almond, developing on the palate into brown sugar, stewed orange, apple and blackcurrant leaf, before a long, smooth finish with a touch of smoke and chocolate. A rounded, satisfying whisky for lovers of classic sherried Speyside malts.
