Lote D Niepoort 2017 is a red wine from the Douro region of Portugal. Produced during an exceptionally hot and dry cycle, this bottling relies on high-altitude fruit from the Cima Corgo to preserve tension against the year`s natural concentration. The schistous terroir forces the field blend of Touriga Nacional and Tinta Roriz to root deeply, resulting in a robust tannic framework. Winemaking involves stainless steel fermentation with a controlled maceration and 12 months in used French oak to ensure the spicy, dark fruit remains at the forefront.
