Distilled in 1985 and bottled at eighteen years, this Macallan carries the gamey, meaty character typical of mid-1980s bottlings, with cloves, orange peel and dried fruit alongside a touch of smoke. Rich and full-bodied on the palate, showing dark chocolate, raisin and warm spice, underpinned by classic sherry intensity. The finish is long and savoury. A robust, traditional dram, and an outstanding late entry in Macallan`s original bottle design era.
