Talisker 46 Year Old Prima & Ultima Fourth Release is a limited-edition single malt whisky produced at the Talisker Distillery on the Isle of Islay. This extra-mature Talisker single malt forms part of the fourth release of Diageo`s Prima & Ultima series of rare and collectible malts. Distilled way back in 1976, the whisky was matured for 46 years in a single oak puncheon. 1976 is notable for being a heatwave year during which the stills at Talisker ran hot, resulting in greater copper contact and a richer expression of the distillery`s new make spirit. Expect heady notes of salted caramel, chocolate and pepper, alongside subtle peat smoke.
