This ‘Still Young’ Ardbeg 1998 was the distillery’s 2nd release of the whisky that would later become their 10-year-old Renaissance expression. It was bottled and released at cask strength in 2006. The nose combines notes of smoke, caramel, sea salt, citrus fruit and dark peat. The palate is rather sweet, with plenty of vanilla, balanced by some peat and pepper.
