Widely considered to be a "First Growth in Fifth Growth`s clothing", Lynch-Bages is often considered on a similar level to such great châteaux as Lafite Rothschild, Mouton Rothschild, Latour and Palmer. The 2009 was considered by many to be one of the greatest Lynch-Bages since the legendary 1989 vintage.
