With a rich history that goes back to the 1860s, Domaine des Comtes Lafon is a well-established wine producer based in Meursault. The estate is currently managed by fourth generation family member Dominique Lafon, who inherited the winery from his father René in the mid-1980s. This particular release comes from Perrières, a prestigious Premier Cru vineyard where the Domaine owns a 0.91-hectare plot. The 1999 vintage in Burgundy produced wines of good quality with excellent ripeness and balance. The weather conditions throughout the growing season were favourable, leading to healthy grapes and good concentration.
