A recent release from London-based Vintage Bottlers, this 2001 Port Charlotte was matured entirely in a single rum barrel and bottled at 48.7% ABV. The nose evokes aromas of fresh herbs, bitter chocolate, overripe orchard fruits and a touch of mint. The palate combines pastry, lemon zest, charred oak and hints of black pepper, leading to a long, slightly sweet finish. A limited release of only 259 bottles.
