Château Barde-Haut is a Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé property, currently managed by superstar wine couple, Hélène Garcin-Lévêque and Patrice Lévêque. Situated in Saint-Christophe-des-Bardes, the estate covers approximately 17 hectares, planted to Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The 2005 vintage suggests some lovely aromas of dark red plums, violets, hints of liquorice and earthy minerality. A medium-bodied palate follows through with sweet red fruit compote, cocoa and savoury hints of mushroom, all complemented by silky tannins.
