Château de Chambrun 2019 is a Merlot-led (96%) Lalande-de-Pomerol from a highly regarded vintage, with Cabernet Franc adding lift and freshness. It`s medium-bodied, soft and already thoroughly enjoyable, showing ripe plum, black cherry and cocoa flavours that run through to a smooth, polished finish. Tannins are gentle rather than firm, making this an approachable, early-drinking style, though it has the balance to hold for a decade or so. A generous, food-friendly red, good with roast chicken, charcuterie or mild cheeses.
