Château Le Gay is one of the finest estates in Pomerol, producing superb Merlot-based wines. The property is owned by the group Vignobles Péré Vergé, whose portfolio also includes châteaux La Violette, Montviel and La Gravière. The 1961 vintage is a classic Pomerol now fully developed, boasting notes of dark herbs, wet earth, tobacco and plums.
