Château Léoville-Poyferré is a Second Growth estate situated in the Saint-Julien appellation. The property is currently owned by the Cuvelier family, which has a long history in the wine trading business in Bordeaux. The 2008 vintage was considered a challenging year in Bordeaux, marked by a cool and wet growing season. However, despite the weather conditions, many producers were able to craft wines of good quality, including this Grand Vin from Léoville-Poyferré.
