Margaux 1995 is a red wine from the Margaux appellation of Bordeaux. This vintage signalled a shift back to a more classic, structured framework for the property, driven by a dry summer that produced small, thick-skinned berries. The white gravels of the Margaux plateau provide the necessary perfume to lift a palate of substantial tannic weight. After rigorous selection and long maturation in new oak, the wine has developed a complex tobacco and forest floor character while maintaining its core of black fruit.
