Marpaout 2022 is a distinct, single-parcel wine from Château Branas Grand-Poujeaux, located in Moulis-en-Médoc, Bordeaux. This inaugural vintage consists entirely of Merlot, cultivated from a specific high point in the Médoc known for its iron-rich subsoil known as crasse de fer. The vineyard benefits from a unique microclimate, resulting in concentrated fruit characteristics. The wine undergoes dual ageing in new oak and terracotta amphora, which imparts an elegant structure and pure, linear fruit profile.
