The 2006 vintage of Pauillac Fifth Growth, Château Pontet-Canet is made from a blend of 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot. Powerful on the nose, with fruity, mineral character carrying through on a concentrated palate with very smooth tannins and concluding on a long, savoury finish.
