Since Alfred Tesseron assumed ownership and control of Pauillac Fifth Growth, Château Pontet-Canet, the estate’s fortunes have been reversed and it is now one of the most respected and highly sought-after wines in the appellation. 2009 was an excellent vintage and this is widely considered as one of the greatest ever releases from this estate, indeed it has been awarded a perfect 100-point score from The Wine Advocate on three separate occasions.
