Château Trotanoy 2009 is a red wine from Pomerol in Bordeaux. This magnum comes from a vineyard situated on the highest part of the Pomerol plateau where the soil consists of black clay over a bed of iron-rich gravel. A bouquet of black cherries, damp earth, truffle and iron ore emerges from the glass, while remarkably ripe and velvety tannins provide a plush framework for the opulent fruit. The density and structural weight of the wine are direct consequences of this specific plateau terroir.
