This is a highly single malt from the now silent Lowland distillery, St. Magdalene. The whisky was distilled in 1965 and bottled for Gordon & MacPhail`s Connoisseurs Choice range in 1993. The nose is slightly subdued, but gentle notes of tobacco and vanilla are present. The palate is rather unique, a mix of herbal teas, some shoe polish, tobacco, old resins, soft apricots, with some mint and eucalyptus.
